Hi guys
My Full crawl take a very long time ( even more than 15 hrs)and considering my environment itshould NOT took that long. Here is what I have:
I have about 1GB content DB
I have enough free space on my server and the size of my 4 hiv log file is 1.07 GB
And my Crawl log before stopping it was 1824 successes, 3 warning and 0 Errors
To trouble shout this I did Index reset and then ran my full crawl but that’s again ran for 15hrrs…previously full crawl was running for 31hrs.
My content source is very simple and here is my Local SP site setting:
Start address : http://SERVERNAME and sps3://SERVERNAME
(NB. I have 2 site collection servername:80 and servername:1111. I only need to crawl servername:80. Once I put this in the start address it automatically shows as http://SERVERNAME. I wonder if that’s ok?)
When I check the event view there is few odd error showing DCOM config. Another option I ma thinking is to add my farm account to local admin group and run the crawl again and monitor it. But not sure if that’s what I need to do.
It seems like that something doesn’t sound right here. I was wondering if you can help.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
