We recently modified User profile attribute "Name" in SharePoint to get mapped to a DisplayName in AD. The User Profile sync updated the data and DisplayName got synched from AD to User Profile. When I click on edit User profile for a user in SharePoint, I see that the Name field shows Displayname of the user. But this data is not synched consistently to the site collections/Web Application in the farm.
Some of the site collections still show his old Name value and some of the site collections show displayname in the name field. Could you help me to fix this issue?
