sharepoint 2010

We have a sharepoint server/site that we need to limit people picker searches to a specific OU, but also need people picker searches for Forms Authentication SQL users as well.

Based on these two articles, it seams there's no clear cut way to do this, but i have to believe I'm not the only one who has such a requirement.
