Users cannot update items depending on which server they connect to

I am seeing a new issue with my SharePoint sites. I probably started about 4 weeks ago, since that was when i first added the server into the load balancer. However, we are just now getting reports of this.

We had some users who want to edit an item, let's say it's the 'comments' field. We have two WFE and we have a feature installed that lets us determine which WFE a user is connected to.

If the user connects to WFE1, they cannot update the comments field ( or anything else). Even the comments that are exisiting, once they click on the item, they can no longer so the existing comments, The save button is even grayed out.

However, if they keep trying until they hit WFE2, they can edit as expected. Everything works fine.

Is there something that i have not turned on for WFE1 that would cause this issue. Or something I did turn on?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
