I am looking for high level requirements for enabling external access for SharePoint.
We have an established site-collection that is used for our Intranet. There is now a requirement to offer external access for our own users. We are also considering extarnal access for partners.
What are the high level steps required? e.g. Do I need to use claims-based authentication or will Windows authentication?
Will I need to extend the intranet zone?
Can I use a TMG server?
What will manage authentication?
Are there any start to finish step-by-step guides that I can follow?
