Original farm was MOSS 2007 32 bit, new farm is SP 2010, service pack 2
I have taken a copy of one of the content databases on our MOSS 2007 system and attached it to the SP 2010 farm so that we could get some experience with the new (to us) version of SharePoint.
One of the first things one of the developers wanted to do is to create a template of one of his existing sites so that he could create a new SP 2010 site of similar layout.
He went to Site Actions > Set Settings > the site actions area but there is nothing there about creating a site template.
When I use PowerShell to look at the template id, it says it is a 1 - a team template.
Anyone know how we can create a template from a migrated team site?
