Alerts Command Line Error – STSADM -o getproperty -url http://YourSiteURL –pn job-immediate-alerts

I'm having an issue with Alerts on a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site.

Confirmation of the Alert email is sent, but follow up Alerts on additions/edits to the list are not.

I'm finding http://sharepointalert.info/troubleshooting-sharepoint-alerts/ quite helpful.

My issue brought me to

http://sharepointalert.info/2009/11/troubleshooting-sharepoint-alerts-timer-jobs/

Running

STSADM -o getproperty -url http://YourSiteURL -pn alerts-enabled

returned

<Property Exists=”Yes” Value="yes" />

However, it doesn't seem to recognize

STSADM -o getproperty -url http://YourSiteURL–pn job-immediate-alerts

I get Command Line Error.

Any clues?
