While I was working in the explorer window (Open with Explorer option), I deleted a subsite folder. It warned me that I am deleting some system folder, but by mistake I said yes and deleted that folder. The sub-site was something that anyway I wanted to delete, so I am not worried about the contents of the same. But the problem now I have is the sub-site link is displayed everywhere (in top and quick launch navigates under Sites) and if I click on it, it gives me an HTTP error that the page cannot be found. I went to Site Settings -> Sites and Workspaces and tried to delete that subsite from there, but then it throws me an error page - An unknown error occurred with a correlation ID. I think it is looking for the folder to delete, but I had already deleted it by mistake.
How do I delete the sub-site links from my drop downs or from the list of sub-sites ?
I am not working on the server, but I have admin privileges to my sites and is accessing the sharepoint from my browser.
