I'm running SP2010 on Windows 2008 Server and would like to access it from the internet. The site is on Port 80.
I only have one static ip which is pointing to another machine running Apache on port 80.
So I configure the router to forward port 8080 to the Sharepoint server, and on the Sharepoint CA, I set up the AAM so that the public URL http://www.mydomain.com:8080 is set to the same AAM Collection as the Sharepoint site sitting on Port 80.
However when I try to access the site from the internet url http://www.mydomain.com:8080, I get the url http://www.mydomain.com/_layouts/AccessDenied.aspx?Source=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Etmaflow%2Ecom
and the error message
[an error occurred while processing this directive] The requested URL was not found on this server. If you entered the URL manually please check your spelling and try again. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
What am I doing wrong? please.
Thanks.
