Auto failover using SQL alias for SharePoint 2010 - Part 2

Hi,

Since this http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/e4ee0c20-e4bb-435f-81a8-080df841afe7/auto-failover-using-sql-alias-for-sharepoint-2010 has already been resolved.  I have to create this thread to see whether I would get any replies.

So there are a few databases I couldn't assign failover server instance server name to.  Can it be done and if so how?
