upgradingn Sharepoint 2010 from Testing to Production Environment

Hi Guys,

If we want to upgrade from Testing(stg) environmen to production. Is the below steps are sufficient. Pl let me know.

1.SharePoint 2010 SP1 - No CU updates(Test Environment)

2. SharePoint 2010 SP1-with CU updates(Production Environment)

Is the upgrade is possible(Like site collections) in the above scenario..Pl check the versions
